Please note that out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are postponing our Montessori at Home workshop series and all other workshops for the remainder of 2020.

Workshops are where the real “community” happens, where we address together the challenges faced by families. Whether the issue is maintaining intimacy, how to balance self-care and our many responsibilities, or talking to your children about grief, Learning Through Play workshops are designed to equip parents, couples and families with the skills and support to be resilient and connected.
MONTESSORI AT HOME:

Join us for a brief introduction to who Maria Montessori was, some key principles of the Montessori Method and tips on incorporating Montessori Principles in your home. We will chat about each room in your home and how to prepare each room to foster your child’s independence and creativity.
Parents with children 2-5 years are encouraged to join us.

Planting the Seeds for Reading and Writing

During this overview of Maria Montessori’s unique approach to language, parents discover how a young child can easily absorb language materials with a multisensory experience that will lead them towards independent reading & writing.

How Montessori Teaches Math

Maria Montessori developed concrete materials to introduce abstract concepts and give a sequential understanding of mathematical concepts. Learn how to make simple math materials for your child to give them a joyful start to the world of numbers!

With Montessori-inspired Geography and Life Science activities, preschool children can easily learn where they are in the world, the vast differences and similarities in cultures around the world and so much more! Discover how you can foster your child’s natural curiosity to learn about the world around them!

HOLIDAY WORKSHOP: 'tis the season of Gift-Giving
Saturday, December 14th, 1:30-3:30pm
In this workshop, children will be personalizing unique gifts for their loved ones. Together, we will explore the pride of creating and the joy we feel when giving.

HALLOWEEN WORKSHOP: Befriending the Boogeman
Saturday, October 26th, 1:30-3:30pm
Do ghastly ghouls, spooky spiders, and boo-tastic bats send shivers down your spine? What are things that scare you?! Through a series of directed and free-range crafts, the goal of this workshop is to help children identify things that scare them, learn new ways to deal with these fears, and just have fun!
Cost:
